Walks – A series of walks have been designed to accommodate everyone from the most experienced walker to a short leisurely stroll for all the family around the farm. ( Maps available). Many information boards explaining farm practices will be found on the routes, all in a quiet safe environment. Also local village walks extending into the local community to include local churches and the millennium stones project.
Games Room - The new games room is now open. Pool, Table Tennis and Table Football and a large projector screen with music and sports.
Bird Watching – Our marsh and woodland offer a huge array of native and migratory wildlife to be viewed in the unspoilt landscape of the farm offering untold opportunities for the experienced and inexperienced twitcher.
Bicycles – Off road tracks offer cycle rides for the family. Cycle storage available on the farm.
Fishing – As much of the land surrounding Wheatacre Hall Barns has river frontage, coarse fishing is available in the River Waveney.
Artists – The wide arching skies and timeless beauty of the southern broads area give many opportunities for the artist, whether studying landscapes or wildlife this quiet hidden retreat can offer all.
Farm life – An opportunity to see where your daily pinta comes from! Upon request milking demonstrations can be viewed. Also the farms young stock are on site for a get close and personal view for our younger guests!
Hot Tub - A shared hot tub is on the site for your use. An ideal place to relax and soak away the stress of every day life. Sessions may be pre-booked to allow sole use during your stay. The hot tub is also enclosed to maximise usage day/night, rain or shine!!
Grass Area - There is a large grassed area for the children (or adults!!) to enjoy ball games or kite flying.
Internet access-Wireless internet connection is available in all of our accomodation.
Games/Video's - A selection of games, books, video's and DVD's can be loaned from the office.
Country Cuisine - Ready made meals are offered to order from Country Cuisine. Barbara Cook lives in a neighbouring village and has prepared a menu to cater for all guests tastes. Fresh food made locally from local ingredients. Meals can be pre-ordered ready for your arrival, all you need to do is heat in the oven and crack open a bottle or wine and relax. No need to worry about a meal on your arrival. Meals can also be provided (24 hours notice) whilst you are enjoying your stay at Wheatacre.
