What time can I arrive at Wheatacre Hall Barns?
The barns at Wheatacre Hall are available from 4p.m. on the day of arrival.
If you arrive earlier and there is no immediately proceeding booking we will do our utmost to let you have access to your accommodation before 4 p.m.
We will contact you a day or two ahead of your arrival to ascertain your likely arrival time as we will make sure that you will be greeted in person.
Guests are asked to return their key, with the cottage empty of all their possessions and in the state they found it, not later than 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

Do you allow children at Wheatacre Hall Barns?
Yes, children have a very warm welcome at Wheatacre Hall and we try and make their stay as happy as possible.
  • We provide a stairgate if required to our cottages with stairs.
  • Cots and highchairs are provided free of charge although it would be helpful to pre-book, so they will be in your cottage awaiting your arrival
  • A cot is also available to pre-book, but please bring your own mattress and bedding which are not provided for hygiene reasons.
  • Each cottage has its own garden, a kick-a-bout grass area is available for ball games and kite flying.
  • A games room will be complete late Summer 2007.

As you are aware Wheatacre Hall is still a working farm with animals. Children are of course, encouraged to meet our cows and calves, but would appreciate that they are accompanied by an adult and respect the animals as we do. Like most farms, Wheatacre Hall has a pond which has been fenced, we would appreciate that guardians will explain to children the safety aspects.
May I bring a bicycle with me?
Yes, many quite lanes are available for cycling. Storage is also available.

Is smoking permitted in any of the barns at Wheatacre Hall?
No, all of our accommodation is Strictly No Smoking.

Do you allow pets at Wheatacre Hall Barns?
Yes, we do accept a dog per property with an extra charge of £20 per week. Of course a registered assistance dog is free of charge. This charge is made to contribute towards any extra cleaning, guests do remain responsible, however for any extra damage caused by their dog.
  • Any dog brought to the farm must be up to date with its vaccinations.
  • Dogs must not be left unattended in the accommodation at any time.

How far is the nearest supermarket?
The nearest supermarket is approx. 10 minutes drive to Beccles, there you will find three major supermarkets. Tesco's and Sainsbury's on-line delivery service is available at Wheatacre and we would be happy to accept a delivery for you. A small local shop is open during peak holiday times - 1 1/2 miles.
In any event you will find we have provided all you need for a cup of tea/coffee on your arrival.
Is there a telephone available?
Telephones are available in all of our barns which are direct dial. Charges for calls are made at the end of your stay (prices listed in barns). A good reception for major mobile phone companies is found on most of the site but this is determined by the service providers. Internet access is also available.
Am I able to access the Internet?
Internet access is available to guests who bring their own lap-tops.
Do all bookings start and finish on a Friday?
Weekly bookings are from Friday to Friday, as it is found travelling is easier to East Anglia during peak holiday periods on a Friday. Also this gives a full weekend stay to our guests. Secondly, we find that short breaks are very popular and these run from Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday.

How do I order a meal from Country Cuisine?
An order form will be sent to you with your final payment receipt. This can be returned by post, emailed or phoned through to the office. Pre-payment made and your meal will be waiting in the Barn for your arrival. Just heat in the oven and serve. Meals are also availble during your stay but please give 24 hours notice.
